Initially inspired by the likes of SLAYER, VENOM, IRON MAIDEN, and KING DIAMOND, Bill's songwriting fragments were pieced together by the members as they practiced two to three times a week, honing their skills with the hopes of securing as many live shows as possible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBy 1991, \u003cstrong\u003eDEMENTIA \u003c\/strong\u003ehad settled on a three-piece lineup aligned on a raw and aggressive direction, finding Schaeffer joined by Heath Moser (vocals\/bass) and Brian Riffle (drums). It was this trio that would enter Signal Sound Studios in Quakertown, PA to track the \u003cem\u003eThe Insanity Chronicles\u003c\/em\u003e with engineer Rick Statkus, resulting in 10 songs\/32 minutes of taut and crunchy thrash with sneering vocals and frenzied lead breaks, not to mention some creative nuances more melodic in nature. However, for reasons largely unknown, the sessions were never officially released. According to vague details online, limited numbers of probable CD-Rs with varying cover art eventually appeared in 1996 and 1999 (at which point Bill had an all-new lineup), but at present the album has been largely relegated to YouTube...\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e...until now.
